Amb-OS satellite carrier modification 5/31/2025
In preparation for our announced migration of services from satellite to SvI only transmission by 7/31/2025, our satellite uplink provider will be making carrier changes between the hours of 2300 and 2400 Eastern time Saturday, May 31st. To accomplish the needed adjustments we’ll be sending parameter-change commands to all AMR-100 & AMR-200 units that haven’t yet been transitioned to SvI-only & remain receiving the SES-2 signal. During this window of time, satellite-fed AMRs should automatically fail-over to SvI for a bit and then resume normal satellite operation using the modified signal. If your AMR is already communicating with our servers via Internet, no loss of program content is anticipated.
Once this change has been accomplished the modified satellite signal will remain active for the months of June & July before its termination at ~2400 Eastern on 7/31/2025. As mentioned in previous communications, your AMR will automatically revert to SvI upon satellite failure or cessation. We’ll re-provision any remaining satellite AMRs to the SvI-only mode after July 31, 2025, but if you’d like us to make that change in advance of the end of July, contact us at support@amb-os.com or call our help-desk at 1-877-AMBOS2U (1.877.262.6728).
