A Response to an Open Letter to Christian Radio

At Amb-OS Media, we would only underscore the value of the “legacy” Wegener system used by Ambassador, Focus and other CRC members for many years.   This is especially true subsequent to hearing that stations weren’t getting the straight information at NRB.

Just to be clear, in every communication—on our Website, in emails, in conversation, in our brochure, in our seminars and Webcasts—we’ve never said Amb-OS was a replacement for the Unity4000 platform.  Nor have we ever “implied that it is on the way out.”  We’ve always presented the AMR-100 as an addition to the Wegener system.

Our deploying the AMR-100 has been a result of trying to find a cost-effective satellite FTP solution.

The efforts have been in response to an increasing demand on three fronts:

From stations for file delivery (FTP)
From programmers for greater control over what station gets which programs
From stations and programmers for locally customized broadcasts

Certainly, the Unity4000 will serve broadcasters for many years to come.  We believe the AMR-100 will as well.
